I like to be left happy or optimistic at the end of a story - please, no bitter or sad endings. Also nothing cracky. I am usually a stickler for canon, and attached to the settings as much as the characters, so avoid AUs/fusions, etc, unless I have specifically asked otherwise. I also prefer fics with some action or interaction, rather than ones that are just one character reflecting/introspecting. Finally, please don't write any ships that break up canon ships unless I have specifically asked otherwise.
Do not want.
Pregnancy loss, or difficulties. Rape. Character death (referencing a canon death in passing is fine, someone dying in the fic is not). Terminal illness. Infidelity. Explicit torture. Gore. Gaslighting. Humiliation. Incest.
Lovelist of general & specific things.
* Worldbuilding! History, cooking, wildlife …
* Friendship, fluff, romance, tenderness in general.
* Loyalty and protectiveness.
* H/C, whether physical or emotional.
* Creating and building things (families, meals, cities, houses, books … )
* Adventure and exploration.
* Themes of truth and justice and honesty.
* Touch starvation.
* Huddling for warmth.
* Marriages of convenience/fake!dating.
* Hair brushing.
* Non-sexual romantic touch – massages, holding hands.
* Rivers and oceans.
* Wilderness (countryside, trees, wildflowers).
Smut.
If the muse moves you towards smut, go for it! But I'd love there to be at least some plot or framing story, rather than outright PWP. I'm rarely interested in reading sex for sex's sake, but in reading how and why particular characters do sex. The emotional aspects of the scene need to be emphasised.
Onto my requests, which are all for fanfic, although if you are inspired to do an art treat, I would be happy.

Docket & Sophy
I love Docket - her intelligence and practicality, her high standards and dedication to her art, her devotion to those she cares for. The glimpses we get of her relationships with her apprentices have always fascinated me and I would love to see more of her with Tibby or Sophy (or both!). What's it like training them up? Did Docket ever find them frustrating? Maybe she realised SHE was being frustrating, and needed to learn how to teach. Every rookie makes errors - how did Docket turn those into learning moments for Tibby or Sophy? How does she keep in touch with Tibby even once Tibby's got a post of her own?
Chronicles of Narnia - C. S. Lewis
Caspian/Lucy Pevensie (Narnia - Lewis)
I love that they're both fierce open-hearted idealists and look upon the world with wonder. How does this develop from the youthful friendship we see in Prince Caspian? Does Lucy co-rule with Caspian or take a back-seat this time around? What exploring and adventuring do they get up to? Does she miss Earth, and how does Caspian deal with that?
Edmund Pevensie & Lucy Pevensie & Peter Pevensie & Susan Pevensie
I'll never tire of reading how they deal with life back on civvy street after the first novel, at whatever stages of life. Their disconnect from their former peers; their struggle to act the age they are; the loss of the wonder of Narnia. Is it easier when they have to do it again (after Prince Caspian, and then Voyage), much harder?
It would also be fascinating to see how they learn to be monarchs in Narnia. They are kids, after all. How do they learn about things like diplomacy and economics and infrastructure? What is it like growing up like in a land with no humans?
Oxford Time Travel Universe - Connie Willis
Ned Henry/Verity Kindle
They are a delightful, ridiculous, adorable pair. I love their banter and would lap up large amounts more. Extra scenes from the novel? Post-canon shenanigans? You name it. Whether it's pure fluff or a time-travelling adventure, I'm up for it.
Kivrin Engle & Father Roche
I appreciate that any fic about these two might end up a bit more downbeat than my stated preferences - that's okay in this case! Their connection has always fascinated me, especially the religious element. Father Roche's POV for a fic would be particularly interesting. Or if you could think of how to explore their relationship once Kivrin's back in the modern day, that would also be fascinating, although I'm failing to think of a good prompt for that just now.
